Winfrey P. Blackburn, Jr.’S New Book “The Mystery Of Hank's Woods” About A Young Boy Who Entertains Himself By Exploring The Woods And Making Friends With The Animals
(PRWEB) September 20, 2017 -- Winfrey P. Blackburn, Jr., a lawyer and experienced author, has completed his new book “The Mystery of Hank's Woods”: about Hank who lives in a log cabin at the edge of a large woods with his mother and father. Since he doesn’t have an iPod or any other electronic devices, he spends many lazy summer days exploring the woods.
According to Blackburn, “I grew up in Frankfort, Kentucky, in a family that never hesitated to embellish a tall tale. I majored in English at the University of Virginia and graduated from the University of Virginia Law School in 1964. I practiced law in Louisville, Kentucky, since 1965. I have authored ‘Putney: A Little Pumpkin with Big Ideas’ and ‘Rodney, the Lightning Bug and the Golden Medallion’; and I have coauthored ‘The Kentucky Houses of Stratton Hammon’ and ‘Country Houses of Louisville 1899 to 1939” with R. Scott Gill’.”
Published by New York City-based Page Publishing, Winfrey P. Blackburn, Jr.’s fantastical work brings the forest and animals alive through the eyes of a boy named Hank who has a vivid imagination.
On this adventure, Hank hears a strange “Eee . . . eee” noise. As he strolls along the path, he meets his friends and follows the strange sound to an abandoned mansion deep in the woods. With a bit of courage, he threads his way up a spiral staircase into a darkened bedroom where he discovers the source of the mysterious sound.
The book is beautifully illustrated by Sylvia Berger, who has illustrated all of the author's children's books.
Readers who wish to experience this beautifully crafted work can purchase “The Mystery of Hank's Woods” at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes store, Amazon, Kobo, Google Play or Barnes and Noble.
