ThinkDeeply Raises Capital, Relocates to Tennessee
Nashville,Tennessee (PRWEB) September 21, 2017 -- The rapidly growing company was largely boot-strapped by its three founders: Rajesh Kommineni, Rajan Rajbhandari and Jabu Mathews before attracting the attention of veteran tech entrepreneur, Tim Choate. Choate has founded several successful technology ventures in the Nashville area including an early internet service provider, a leading configuration/quoting software provider, and Bondware Inc, a web-based software company. Choate is now the lead investor in ThinkDeeply and serves as executive chairman.
ThinkDeeply’s first product allows e-commerce customers to search a retailer’s online catalog by uploading a picture of the item they want to purchase. Likewise, when viewing a particular catalog item the technology can recommend other “Visually Similar” items on the same page. Variations of this technology can also be applied to custom service, sales and marketing functions where the ability to recognize visual product information can reduce cost and open new opportunities. The company’s initial focus is on the home furnishings and home decor market but it is actively exploring other vertical markets.
“The visual search and visual similarity recommendations provided by this technology are impressive and demonstrates how the cloud, AI and machine learning can be applied to transform business,” said Choate. He continued, “I’ve known these founders for many years and look forward to helping them grow this business to the next level. The revenue traction they have already achieved is also a positive sign.”
“This investment and Tim’s experience building tech-driven companies will help us to advance product development while simultaneously exploring new vertical markets for our existing products,” said Rajesh Kommineni, ThinkDeeply President and CEO.
ThinkDeeply’s corporate offices are now co-located in Murfreesboro with Choate’s Bondware offices and leverage many of the same vendors and services.
