Oaks Christian Named Best Christian High School in LA County
(PRWEB) September 21, 2017 -- Oaks Christian School has been named the "Best Christian High School" in the entire Los Angeles County by Niche, an educational ranking service that analyzes public data sets and millions of reviews to produce comprehensive rankings, report cards, and profiles for every K-12 school and college in the United States. Oaks Christian was also ranked as the number two "Best Christian High School" in the Los Angeles metro area and the number three "Best Christian High School" in all of California by Niche. The placement is for the 2017-2018 rankings.
Furthermore, Oaks Christian ranked in the top three percent of "Best Christian Schools" nationwide; the top eight percent of Best Private High Schools nationwide, and the top nine percent of "Best College-Preparatory High Schools" in Los Angeles metro area.
"It is fantastic to be recognized by a national ranking service like Niche. This is a confirmation of the efforts of a tremendous faculty and staff, and an affirmation of what many of our parents and students are experiencing every day through the caliber of our teachers, programs, curriculum, and world-class facilities. We've always believed Oaks Christian offers a top-tier education, so to be honored by Niche underscores the excellence of the school to the greater community," said Head of School, Rob Black.
Oaks Christian School earned this ranking by scoring highly on a variety of factors including SAT/ACT scores, student-teacher ratio, the quality of colleges students consider, and reviews from students and parents. The statistical data used in this ranking was obtained from the U.S. Department of Education and then analyzed by Niche's team of data scientists.
Coming on the heels of the Niche honors, the Los Angeles Daily News has also named Oaks Christian School as a "Favorite Private School" in its 2017 Readers Choice Awards, from among the over 36,000 votes cast. The honor was announced in a special Readers Choice Award section featuring the best of Los Angeles and the San Fernando Valley in August. This year, Oaks Christian School joined over 100 local businesses, services, and places to be recognized by Daily News readers.
Locally, Oaks Christian has been selected for the 2017 Best of Westlake Village Award in the Religious Schools category by the Westlake Village Award Program. Each year, the Westlake Village Award Program identifies companies which have achieved exceptional success, and are enhancing a positive image through service to their customers and the community, making Westlake Village a great place to live, work and play.
Recognition is given to those companies that use best practices and implemented programs to generate competitive advantages and long-term value. Various sources of information were gathered and analyzed to choose the winners in each category. Winners are determined based on the information gathered both internally by the Westlake Village Award Program and data provided by third parties.
"Oaks Christian has been an integral part of Westlake Village since our founding. Not only are we located in the city, but many of our employees, students and families live here, so receiving this award from one of our own community organizations is a special honor," added Black. "We are privileged to contribute to this thriving community and look forward to being an important part of Westlake Village's success for many years to come."
