Ammonoosuc Oktoberfest Scheduled for 9/23 in Littleton, NH
Littleton, NH (PRWEB) September 21, 2017 -- The 4th Annual Ammonoosuc Oktoberfest is scheduled for Saturday, September 23 in downtown Littleton on the banks of the Ammonoosuc River. This celebration of artisan beer and community kicks off on September 23rd with a family friendly Oktoberfest Celebration from 11:30am to 3pm and the Evening Celebration running from 5:30 to 9pm. Tickets for children and adults are available online at http://www.ammonoosucoktoberfest.com. The event takes place directly across the Ammonoosuc River from Schilling Beer Co.
“This is truly a community celebration. This event marks Schilling's fourth anniversary of brewing in the great town of Littleton, NH, so it makes perfect sense to throw a party and invite our friends,” says Jeff Cozzens, CEO and Co-Founder of Schilling Beer Co. “We brewed a specialty Gose rested on wild Parker Mountain blackberries to commemorate the occasion and to celebrate the local work of the PRKR MTN Trails organization.”
In Oktoberfest tradition, the beer tent will feature both half and full pours of beers ranging from wild ales to traditional European-inspired lagers. Approximately fifteen brewers from as far as Michigan and all over New England will gather for this one-of-a-kind celebration located on the riverside green across the footbridge from Schilling Beer Co. Bavarian style foods, lawn games, food vendors, a marketplace and live entertainment will also be available throughout the day. A portion of the festival proceeds will be donated to the Littleton Senior Center and the Ammonoosuc Chapter of Trout Unlimited to continue to improve the quality of life in the town of Littleton.
The award-winning Schilling Beer Co. opened it’s doors in Littleton, NH in September of 2013 and has continued to grow ever since. At last year’s Oktoberfest, Schilling announced plans for a major expansion of their brewing operations and broke ground for their expansion earlier this year. The expansion--including a dedicated space for wood-fermented beers--is slated to be complete during the first quarter of 2018. Littleton has been named one of America’s best Main Streets by Huffington Post, Outside Magazine and others because of it’s picturesque mountain backdrop, riverside location, rich history and bustling downtown, filled with restaurants and shops.
