Firewood Offers Pro Bono Digital Marketing for Bay Area Nonprofits through New “Firewood Spark” Program

Charitable organizations invited to apply for professional assistance with online marketing, including Google AdWords and other tools

Bay Area nonprofits now have a resource to help them maximize their online marketing efforts through “Firewood Spark,” a new program launched by Firewood Marketing in San Francisco.

Firewood’s digital marketing experts are volunteering their skills to help charitable organizations achieve their objectives online. Services include assistance with accessing and setting up a Google Ad Grants account for nonprofits, as well as consultation on Google AdWords search marketing strategy, keyword research, campaign building, and ongoing campaign optimization for accounts under a $50,000 monthly spend. Other assistance includes maximizing tools available in the YouTube for Nonprofit program and consultations about paid social media outreach.

“Digital marketing, and search marketing in particular, is a powerful way to connect with constituents, such as volunteers, donor prospects and advocates,” said Kris Belau, Director of Digital Marketing Strategy at Firewood. “We’re excited to offer our services to organizations dedicated to improving our local communities. It’s one way we can pay it forward and provide our employees with a new way to support causes they are passionate about.”

Nonprofit organizations can learn more about the program and apply to participate through the Firewood web site at Organizations must be actively serving or based out of the greater San Francisco Bay Area in order to qualify.

The Firewood Spark program is an employee-driven initiative that reflects Firewood’s ongoing commitment to giving back to the community. Other projects include an annual Holiday Giving Campaign where employees nominate local organizations as beneficiaries. Last year, employees nominated Community Housing Partnership, Food Runners, Lava Mae, Loeys-Dietz Syndrome Foundation and Planned Parenthood San Francisco to each receive a $10,000 donation from the agency.
