Industry Leader Expands To Reach New Demographic Four Miles From New York State Line

Leading regional alcohol beverage and gourmet food retailer, Gary’s Wine & Marketplace (http://www.garyswine.com), announced today that it will open a fifth store in Closter, New Jersey this November. The store will be 8,400 sq. feet and in line with Gary’s four other stores, carry over 2,700 wine SKUs, 700 spirit SKUs, 800 beer SKUs, and 150 fresh cut cheeses.

Gary’s aims to reach a fresh demographic and further develop staff and customer wine knowledge with its new store in Closter, only four miles from the New York State line. The store will be located in a newly renovated shopping center alongside a Whole Foods, Starbucks and Target. The Closter store will create 20 new jobs and the total number of employees throughout his four stores in northern New Jersey (Madison, Bernardsville, Wayne, Hillsborough) is 165.

With many alcohol beverage stores closing and moving sales solely into the online space, Gary Fisch, CEO and Owner of Gary’s Wine & Marketplace explains, “the beverage alcohol industry is great as a brick and mortar space. People like to talk to experts and we want our customers to know that we’re always listening. We are constantly evolving our selection according to their drinking habits. Whether they visit us in our stores or online, they can always rely on us for the best recommendations.”

This year, Gary’s Wine & Marketplace celebrates its 30th anniversary milestone and in addition to opening a fifth store location in Closter, they have also appointed a new Wine Director, Brooke Sabel. Brooke joined Gary’s having previously served as the Wine Director at Ninety Acres at Natirar. Gary’s ecommerce site, Garyswine.com, continues to grow and now ships to 36 states across the United States.
