ASM International and Midlands Technical College Form New Partnership
Materials Park, OHIO (PRWEB) September 22, 2017 -- ASM International and Midlands Technical College have recently formed a partnership that will bring certificate-bearing metals and materials science education to South Carolina industry. To begin this partnership, ASM International will be hosting of one their most popular educational courses, Metallurgy for the Non-Metallurgist, on the Midlands Northeast campus. The course will take place November 6-9 and is open to anyone wanting to expand their materials knowledge.
Metallurgy for the Non-Metallurgist is an introduction to the path of materials science and metallurgy.
The course focuses on the understanding of what metals and alloys are, how they behave, and why they behave differently than most other materials. Scientists, technicians, manufacturers, engineers, and anyone with interest in metallurgy would greatly benefit from this course.
John Leighty, Midlands Technical College program director for corporate and continuing education, stated, “Midlands Technical College is very excited to announce the formation of a new training collaboration with ASM to provide new, targeted, materials-related training programs to the Midlands of South Carolina.
