Yumami Food Company, known for its line of Asian-inspired savory snacks, is one of 21 brands to receive a New Hope Network 2017 Expo East NEXTY Award for outstanding new products in the natural products industry. The winners were announced in Baltimore on September 15, 2017, and Yumami’s line of Go-Dip snack packs won for “Best New Savory or Salty Snack.”
“Yumami is built on the idea that better-for-you foods need to taste delicious if they’re going to be widely adopted,” noted Karsten Ch’ien, Co-Founder of the startup snack maker. “We’ve only been on the market for seven months. Winning against brands with many more years of experience is a testament to our pursuit of both dynamic flavors and nutritional integrity.”
Go-Dips first launched at Whole Foods Markets in the Northeast tri state region in February of 2017. The snack pairs bean dips with savory Asian flavors and nori seaweed-speckled popped rice chips. Now also available in Gourmet Garage, Morton Williams, airport Cibo Express locations, jet.com, and Snap Kitchen outlets in Texas, Go-Dips are rolling out in select Wegmans markets from Massachusetts to Virginia.
