Horizon Goodwill Partners with The Walking Dead Actress Ann Mahoney for the Goodwill Ghoulish Challenge
Hagerstown, MD (PRWEB) September 21, 2017 -- Halloween wouldn’t be the same without Goodwill where you can find some of the best ideas for a stylish Halloween costume. This year Horizon Goodwill is partnering with The Walking Dead actress Ann Mahoney, for the Goodwill Ghoulish Challenge. The challenge is to see who can come up with the best costume from purchases customers make at one of their stores and post them on their social media pages tagging Horizon Goodwill and @anniemoho. The winner of the challenge will win $500 on October 13, 2017, when Horizon Goodwill makes the announcement at the Ghosts, Goblins, and Goodwill Gen/Next event at their South end store at 6 PM.
CEO John McCain said, “Ann Mahoney understands what it is like to work with some pretty ghoulish characters from her days on The Walking Dead. She is a Goodwill shopper and fan, so she was the perfect fit for our campaign. We feel fortunate to have her participation.” Horizon Goodwill has produced a commercial about the #GoodwillGhoulishChallenge which you can view by clicking on the hashtag.
McCain said, “Ann Mahoney was so creative putting together 30 of her own Halloween costumes in less than an hour when we shot the commercial. She will be posting one costume a day for 30 days leading up to the announcement of the winner.”
Mahoney said, “I’m a huge Goodwill fan. I love to shop there year-round and get creative with my kid’s clothes. So when they asked if I would be interested, I jumped at the chance. What could be better than helping a cause I love and knowing that when people are buying their costumes this year, they are helping other people get jobs or the education they need to provide for their families. I’m grateful to be a part of it!”
About the Challenge: The #GoodwillGhoulishChallenge runs from September 13-October 13, 2017. The person with the most creative costume using Goodwill purchases will win $500 gift card to any Horizon Goodwill store. The costumes do not have to be scary to win. But they must post their creations on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram tagging both Horizon Goodwill and @Anniemoho.
