“This investment from Blymyer Engineers is just the start of our relationship,” said Phrame’s COO, Charlene Consolacion. “We share a mutual vision for a greener, more efficient and mobile culture enabled by both companies’ engineering talent and vision."

Phrame announced its second round of funding from Blymyer Engineers, the nation's leading design firm for utility scale solar projects.

“This investment from Blymyer Engineers is just the start of our relationship,” said Phrame’s COO, Charlene Consolacion. “We share a mutual vision for a greener, more efficient and mobile culture enabled by both companies’ engineering talent and vision.”

Since its inception in 2016, Phrame has been working on developing a platform, an app and connected hardware device that provides asynchronous, secure and monitored access to an unattended car.

Phrame will deliver its first namesake product to customers in early 2018. Phrame is a reinvention of the license plate frame into a smart, military-grade strength lockbox for safe car key and fob storage that can be accessed by car owners, friends, family and service professionals.

Phrame manages users’ spare keys inside of Phrame securely, and connects customers to Phrame concierge services which don’t require customers’ presence.

Phrame is the entry point for any car owner - regardless of year and model - to access a variety of services, including:

  • Unattended services for vehicles such as oil change, gas fill-ups, car washes, maintenance and valet parking services, directly from owners’ parking spots.
  • In-trunk package, food and grocery delivery from trusted delivery professionals.
  • Car-sharing services without the hassles of in-person key exchange.
  • Optional GPS and security monitoring notifications.

Phrame has passed a round of rigorous security and resilience tests, making the hardware ready for the consumer market. This round of funding from Blymyer Engineers will allow Phrame to complete the build of its accompanying software application and bring Phrame to market with Bosch, its established manufacturing partner.

“Blymyer Engineers is proud to support Phrame’s big leap with its launch, and we look forward to enabling the next generation of Phrame products in the near future,” said Michael Rantz, President, Blymyer Engineers.
