Shellan Francois-Jeter, a caring mother living in Fort Drum, New York where she continues her active duty service in the US Armed Forces, has completed her new book “Paulina the Ballerina”: a fascinating tale of Paulina, a young ballerina who is about to have her first performance, but then struggles because of her nervousness.
Author Francois-Jeter vividly illustrates the value of believing in one’s self when faced with a momentous event: “The nightmare was over, and the little mermaid (Paulina) felt safe again. She slowly climbed down her rock, twirling and singing. ‘We have conquered it all. She will never harm us again. We are the mighty, the strong. We are the mermaids of the sea.’ This ended their chorus as they all made their way off the stage. The curtains closed slowly while the lights dimmed low and the music stopped.”
Published by New York City-based Page Publishing, Shellan Francois-Jeter’s beautiful narration reaches out to the hearts of children and young adults alike in conveying a message of self-confidence to overcome one’s anxiety.
Readers who wish to experience this delightful story can purchase “Paulina the Ballerina” at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes store, Amazon, Google Play, Kobo, or Barnes and Noble.
