U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services Tom Price to Headline Healthcare Summit in North Fulton
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) September 27, 2017 -- The Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce (GNFCC) will host a Healthcare Summit on the morning of October 31, 2017 headlined by United States Secretary of Health and Human Services Tom Price. This is a program of the GNFCC’s Talent Coalition which is a cross-discipline initiative of the Chamber that brings together education and business to develop workforce strategies that fill jobs in the region. Southeast Permanente Medical Group is the presenting sponsor.
The lead topic of conversation is how community leaders address the needs of the region’s health services. This event will include participation and attendance by leaders at the highest level in our community within healthcare, education and other industries to discuss sustainable workforce strategies. Secretary Price, former U.S. Representative for Georgia’s 6th Congressional District and orthopedic physician, will speak on the correlation between the workforce and quality care.
The two-hour event includes a professional panel of C-level executives from Northside Hospital, WellStar Health System, Emory University, and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta discussing the top 10 issues hospitals are encountering today. Chamber leaders will also provide an update on the work of the Talent Coalition and its partnerships, development efforts, and results.
