Fort Worth, TX (PRWEB) September 26, 2017 -- Certrec, a leading regulatory compliance provider for NERC and FERC compliance, announced today that Kristi Huffstatler, a noted regulatory affairs and compliance expert, has joined its Office of NERC Compliance practice.
“We are pleased that Kristi Huffstatler has joined Certrec,” says Ted Enos, President of Certrec. “She joins us at an important time in the power industry when many generators are juggling a variety of energy sources, changing technology, workforce retirements, cyber security challenges, and a dynamic NERC regulatory environment.”
“Kristi’s experience adds to our growing Certrec team. Kristi is a welcome asset to the services team with a solid understanding of regulatory affairs,” says Bob Biggs, Office of NERC Compliance Services Director.
Ms. Huffstatler has held various compliance oversight positions at Entergy Operations, Incorporated’s River Bend Nuclear Station (RBS). Most recently, Kristi was responsible for providing and managing resources to address regulatory and licensing issues in support of operation, maintenance, and refueling at RBS. Activities have included developing, submitting, and negotiating license change notices (LCN) and responses to Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) inspection findings. Kristi was primarily responsible for day-to-day communications with the NRC’s Senior Resident Inspector and for leading RBS’s effort to prepare for and support both resident inspector inspection efforts and regional based inspections including large team inspections. Kristi is also highly experienced in Emergency Planning. Kristi has also been highly involved in the success of Regional Licensing Manager’s peer groups such as RUG IV.
“Certrec’s experienced NERC compliance team supports a variety of clients including wind, solar, fossil, and nuclear power generators. Certrec is a leader in providing regulatory services and support,” says Huffstatler. “I’m proud to be part of the Certrec team.”
