Pennsylvania (PRWEB) September 27, 2017 -- Luzerne County Trial Judge Lesa Gelb denied Geisinger’s appeal of record $10 million medical malpractice verdict. On May 22, 2017, a Luzerne County jury awarded $10 million to a Nanticoke man Joseph Michael Shimko, who suffered severe permanent injuries and disfigurement as a result of negligence by Geisinger Clinic and Geisinger physicians, Stephen Evans, D.O. and Christian Basque, M.D.
September 22, 2017, Judge Gelb ordered the denial of Defendants June 2017 Motion, after careful review of both Geisinger’s motions and brief. Case No. CV 6653.
