Crescendo Systems Corporation, leading developer of electronic documentation, speech recognition and workflow solutions for the healthcare, legal and insurance industries, today announced that it has successfully transitioned to the newest ISO 9001:2015 standard and has been re-certified ISO 9001 Quality Management compliant.

After initially achieving ISO 9001 compliance in 2014, Crescendo has closely adhered to the standards set out by the organization in order to effectively manage and support customers, as well as continuously improve processes.

“We were quite keen to adopt the new ISO 9001 standards,” stated Helen Kavouris, Product Manager and Quality Manager. “The new version continues to put much focus on improving and maintaining client relationships, which closely aligns with Crescendo’s mission establishing customer satisfaction as our number one priority. We expect that the processes that have been implemented in line with the new requirements will not only improve efficiencies internally, but will also strengthen relationships with our customers.”

One major change to the new standard involves the commitment and engagement of the leadership team to help ensure accountability at all levels of the organization. “Top level management has been very receptive to becoming more involved in the administration of the Quality Management System,” added Costa Mandilaras, President. “We have a team that has been very eager to understand how these standards and processes benefit our solutions. They have been excited to learn more about the QMS and to commit their efforts to ensuring our organization maintains consistent, reliable products and services.”

To maintain certification, Crescendo Systems will undergo a surveillance audit every year and a re-certification audit every three years.

ISO 9001 Certification was granted based on an audit of the Crescendo internal Quality Management System performed by BSI Group, an accredited auditing company at Crescendo Systems’ corporate headquarters in September 2017. ISO standards are a highly respected set of requirements encompassing many components of the company’s Quality Management System.
