CloudRanger Raises $1.1M in Seed Round Funding to Deliver Simple, Visual Server Management
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) September 27, 2017 -- CloudRanger, the simple backup solution for Amazon Web Services (AWS), today announced it has completed a $1.1M seed round, with investments from Enterprise Ireland and several private investors in both the United States and Ireland.
CloudRanger received High Potential Start-Up (HPSU) funding from Enterprise Ireland, which is bestowed to new businesses with the potential to develop an innovative product or service for sale on international markets, as well as the potential to create 10 jobs and generate €1 million ($1.2 million) in sales within 3 to 4 years of starting up.
“CloudRanger’s proprietary approach to visual server management has driven incredible growth, including a 150 percent increase in monthly recurring revenue and doubling the number of users, since the launch of our Server Management Platform in June 2017,” said David Gildea, CloudRanger CEO. “The support of Enterprise Ireland and our other investors enables CloudRanger to further develop its platform, with the ultimate aim to become the leading provider of cross-cloud automation and disaster management worldwide.”
CloudRanger launched its completely redesigned software in June 2017, which gives users a bird’s eye view of the entire server system and provides effortless automated scheduling and backup policies, ultimately saving time and money.
With the launch of its new platform, CloudRanger has already added 12 new full-time employees, quadrupling its staff size. CloudRanger plans to hire 10 new developers to fuel further product development, as well as additional sales staff to support its offices in Donegal, Ireland and Chicago. CloudRanger looks to complete its Series A within the next 12 months.
“CloudRanger offers an innovative solution to companies to help them be successful in the cloud, and is a great example of how innovation can drive an early stage growth company. CloudRanger already has won progressive blue-chip customers and is attracting interest from others globally,” said Niall McEvoy, manager, High Potential Start-Ups at Enterprise Ireland. “A key focus for Enterprise Ireland is helping companies like CloudRanger to start, innovate and scale internationally. We have worked very closely with CloudRanger from the beginning and will continue to do so.”
Enterprise Ireland, a government organization responsible for the development and growth of Irish enterprises in world markets, is the third largest largest seed investor globally, and the top seed investor in Europe, by number of investments. The purpose of its Competitive Start Fund is to accelerate the growth of start-up companies that have the capability to succeed in global markets. The fund is designed to enable those companies to reach key commercial and technical milestones.
CloudRanger’s Server Management Platform offers simplicity for users of all backgrounds. In addition to visual server management, automated scheduling and backups, the new platform offers multi-region backup and file-level recovery, for enhanced disaster recovery and business continuity.
