Accelerated Innovations Expands into New York City with New Program and Resources
ST. PAUL, MINNESOTA (PRWEB) October 04, 2017 -- As Engagement Manager, Jon will be responsible for the implementation of an innovative, behavior-based energy efficiency program that targets commercial office buildings in a concentrated area in Manhattan.
The program, which engages office building operators and property managers to achieve energy savings in their facilities, is modeled after the Smart Energy in Offices program, developed and managed by AI in coordination with Duke Energy in North and South Carolina. (See http://www.smartenergyinoffices.com for more information and customer success stories.)
Mr. Hacker has nearly a decade of professional experience in the energy utility and energy efficiency industries. The combination of his technical knowledge and his drive to support organizations in their sustainability initiatives while reducing costs makes him a huge asset to AI’s upcoming New York City program. Jon says that "Joining AI gives me the chance to work at the intersection of technology and people—applying AI’s solutions to engage and educate energy end-users and influence how they interact and think about energy use. While changing user behavior is never easy, I am looking forward to taking on this big challenge and demonstrating how AI's unique approach can be applied, at scale, to help reduce energy consumption."
Jon brings his background in the development of strategic energy management practices and implementation of energy conservation programs to the AI Team. He holds Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Stony Brook University, and is a LEED Accredited Professional and Certified Energy Manager. The program in New York City will launch later this year.
As AI’s national resources grow, so too does its team in Minnesota. To keep pace with expanding initiatives, AI has also recently welcomed Jon Peterson and Cameron Gray to its development team, and Steve Nisbet to its customer development team in the St. Paul, MN headquarters.
Moving from his home in Iowa to join AI, Mr. Peterson brings his enthusiasm for the Twin Cities as well as his expertise in full-stack development. Mr. Gray, also a full-stack developer, brings his knowledge and passion for database development and analytics. Mr. Nisbet brings his decades-long experience in the Energy Utility Industry to AI with a focus on continued customer care and new business development.
