The idea of further career expansion and meeting new challenges as a viable alternative to retirement was put forward in a lecture given to business executives today by Ron Norman of Team Decades (http://www.teamdecades.com).
"It says something about human nature that men and women who have accomplished many things in their careers begin to believe that the business world stops for them at a certain point and they cease to see the future as a challenge full of opportunity," says Norman. "My question to these executives is this: What needs to be changed in your sector to improve things for your corporation and its clientele? These are executives who once carried such a vision into their jobs and made it a part of their daily activity or they would not have risen to the level they have attained " It is not a secondary consideration but the primary factor and must be communicated to those who would hire.
"The attitude of success is what gets noticed and it must be put to the forefront of a job candidate's campaign," Norman insists. "One cannot give the impression one wants a job for any other reason than continued accomplishment or retirement will become the only, if non-viable, option.
