Mount Kisco, NY (PRWEB) September 28, 2017 -- Winston, a tri-level restaurant located in downtown Mount Kisco offering Modern American fare, has recently unveiled new offerings and features. Adding to the popularity of its Wednesdays at Winston weekly live musical performances and Thursday Ladies Nights, changes in management, a back-to-school promotion that parents will appreciate, refreshed menu items and the ever-hip rooftop, the New Winston is a breath of fresh air to the Westchester dining scene.
Management: Winston is proud to formally announce the appointment of Jimmy Branigan as the restaurant’s new general manager. Branigan joined Winston following more than eight years as general manager of Morello Bistro in Greenwich, Conn. Branigan also previously served as general manager of Terra Ristorante Italiano in Greenwich for 10 years.
“From working alongside acclaimed Chef Michael Williams and the rest of our outstanding staff to meeting our new and returning patrons, I’m thrilled to bring my experience to Winston,” Branigan said. “We look forward to sharing the high-quality Winston experience with each of our guests.”
“Back-to-School” Kids Menu Promotion: With the school year starting, family dinners are even more important for spending quality catch up time. Beginning in September, Winston will offer a $12 for 12 and under menu. Served with a drink and ice cream dessert, family favorites like hamburgers, Pasta Reggiano, cheese quesadilla, and chicken fingers are all $12 for age 12 and under.
The Décor: The walls of Winston have received a sunny makeover. The warm brick interior walls now don a series of sunflower photos by former LIFE photographer and Katonah resident John Shearer. Shearer was named Photographer of the Year in 1972 and his work has been featured in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, MOMA, and the Whitney Museum.
“It is a great privilege to feature John Shearer’s beautiful pieces in our dining rooms,” Branigan said. “His photographs come to life and add vibrancy to our interior, and we are grateful to be able to house the art of one of Westchester’s photography icons.”
The Menu: Executive Chef Michael Williams brings his own innovative flare to the Winston menu, which received a 2017 Best of Westchester Award for Best Bar Menu. A graduate of the French Culinary Institute, Williams brings over 20 years of culinary experience to the Winston menu and kitchen. Emphasizing the “new” in New American fare, Williams implements seasonal changes to the menu to keep the Winston experience fresh for patrons. This summer’s crowd-favorite salmon burger showcases fresh, wild-caught salmon. Utilizing only the freshest ingredients, the garden-to-table menu changes on a seasonal basis, depending on what produce is at its peak.
“Modern American fare means something different to each person, and our menu reflects that,” Williams said. “We created a menu that has something for everyone, from familiar favorites to innovative new dishes with unique cultural influences, all prepared with the freshest ingredients and refined execution.”
Private Events: Birthdays, corporate holiday parties, anniversary celebrations are a cinch to put on at Winston, which offers a multitude of spaces for private events. For small gatherings, the private dining room on the second floor offers an intimate space with an LCD mirror and sound system. The restaurant’s third floor, featuring Mount Kisco’s only open-air rooftop bar and lounge (all-season), can be reserved for larger parties, as well as the entire restaurant.
“Whether it’s a monthly business meeting, a family gathering or holiday party, we can accommodate events of all sizes,” Branigan said. “Our space allows guests to enjoy the Winston experience in a variety of fashions from a more intimate gathering to larger, fun-filled settings, all providing the same high-caliber dining experience.”
The 3 Liter Project: In addition to a wine list of more than 275 bottles, Winston is now home to the 3 Liter Project. The restaurant is proud to offer select labels, including Banfi and Le Serre Nuove dell’Ornellaia, by the glass, carafe, or by the entire three-liter bottle. The larger bottles allow wine to age slower and more protected, offering a unique taste for even the most experienced connoisseur. New wines will continue to be introduced to Winston’s 3 Liter Project over the coming months.
In addition to the aforementioned enhancements, the restaurant will be introducing new promotions in the coming months. Winston is located at 130 East Main St., Mount Kisco, NY. Visit the restaurant online at http://www.winstonrestaurant.com or call 914-244-9780 for more information.
