The Curvy Sense brand started as a small diverse team with an independent manufacturer: Keisha Holmes as lead in charge of merchandising, buying and design, Han Lee to focus on marketing and web design, and Charvelle Holder as social media manager, fit and ecommerce model.
Keisha Holmes joined the brand from Forever 21 where she alongside another buyer successfully launched the plus-size division, Forever21+. She has extensive experience in plus-size fashion retail and specialty merchandising, prior to Forever 21, Keisha was also a buyer at Frederick’s of Hollywood, National Stores, and Torrid. After dedicating much of her career to mass market fashion houses, Keisha Holmes decided that her next gig would afford her the opportunity to build a brand from the ground up.
Keisha Holmes had the hands-on experience to lead, and the vision to create a strategic plan to surpass the brand’s ambitious growth target. With drive and determination, within a year this small team has made their humble online boutique in to a go-to for affordable plus-size fashion, creating a $3million company.
