Joyce Farms, a family-owned natural meat and poultry producer, will celebrate its 55th anniversary this month. The company continues to experience growth and will introduce heritage pastured pork in 2018.

“For more than five decades, Joyce Farms has been committed to delivering a consistently exceptional eating experience while maintaining high animal welfare standards and protecting our land,” said Joyce Farms President Ron Joyce.

Joyce Farms, a family-owned company and longtime innovator in natural meat and poultry production, will celebrate its 55th anniversary this month. The company has developed a strong reputation among chefs and consumers for producing the highest quality meat and poultry products by returning to old-world, heritage breeds and traditional growing and processing methods of the past.

“For more than five decades, Joyce Farms has been committed to delivering a consistently exceptional eating experience while maintaining high animal welfare standards and protecting our land,” said Joyce Farms President Ron Joyce. “We appreciate our loyal customers and the chefs who seek the very best poultry and meat. They, along with our dedicated employees and farmers, have contributed greatly to our success.”

Joyce Farms continues to experience growth and will expand its heritage poultry and beef portfolio to include heritage pastured pork, which will come from Gloucestershire Old Spot pigs. Production will begin next year with an initial offering to Joyce Farms’ wholesale customers. As the program grows, the company will extend heritage pork to retail and online customers in 2018 and 2019.

“With our all-natural and heritage meat and poultry programs, we are bringing back the flavor food used to have before industrialized agriculture — flavors that consumers have missed for so many years and younger generations may have never known existed,” said Joyce.

The Joyce family has grown up with the meat and poultry industry, starting in 1962 when Alvin Joyce founded the company as Joyce Foods. Today, the company is owned and operated by Alvin Joyce’s son, Ron Joyce (president and CEO), and his two sons, Ryan (vice president of finance) and Stuart Joyce (vice president of operations).
