B2SMB Summit Names Dell Technologies ‘B2SMB Brand of the Year'

The award, which recognizes Dell’s distinctive and dedicated approach to serving small businesses, will be presented at the B2SMB Summit, in Chicago, October 3 & 4.

The B2SMB Summit, the inaugural gathering of senior executives from the business-to-small-business community, today announced it has named Dell Technologies “B2SMB Brand of the Year.” The award will be presented on Tuesday to Erik Day, VP and GM, North America Dell Small Business, who is delivering the opening keynote address at this week's B2SMB Summit, taking place Oct. 3-4, in Chicago.

“SMBs are used to taking a back seat to the needs of larger companies, especially in IT, which is typically scaled for big enterprises,” said B2SMB Summit Co-Chair Dave Walker. “But Dell has turned this approach around, dedicating two sales hubs in Round Rock, Texas and Nashville, Tennessee specifically for small business IT advising. The focal point of its strategy is the relationships between its IT advisors and small businesses. Among the SMB-focused initiatives that contributed to the selection of Dell for this award are:

  • Sales advisors dedicated to Small Business (SMB) client account to advise, educate, and execute IT essentially becoming extension of the team
  • Addition of CDW as an independent channel partner to provide SMBs with the right solution and the small business channel partner program as a whole
  • Use of Dell Financial Services to allow SMBs to finance or lease technology investment, which benefits cash flow for SBs and refresh times so they can use latest tech for their business
  • Enhancement of Dell Pro Support to help SMBs with smaller IT staffs

More than 50 B2SMB brands are slated to attend the B2SMB Summit on Oct. 3-4, with 30-plus B2SMB leaders on stage, representing more than 20 million worldwide SMB client accounts.
