Annual Learning In Practice Awards Presented by Chief Learning Officer Magazine
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) October 04, 2017 -- Chief Learning Officer magazine honored more than 60 innovative and inspiring industry leaders today for demonstrating excellence in the design and delivery of employee development programs. The celebration of their achievements came during a special Learning In Practice Awards reception on the final day of the 2017 CLO Symposium+PLUS in Huntington Beach, California.
Established in 2003, the annual Learning In Practice Awards recognize visionary learning leaders and provider companies focused on the impact of corporate education as a linchpin of workforce performance and business growth. Gold, silver and bronze awards are given in two broad classes. Practitioner awards are conferred in two divisions, based on organization size. They recognize CLOs and qualified senior learning leaders for outstanding learning and development initiatives. Provider awards recognize qualified service providers, vendors and consultants for their work on behalf of a client organization.
Among the most highly anticipated moments of the awards event each year is the announcement of the CLO of the Year. For 2017, the top honor went to Damodar Padhi, vice president and global head of talent development for Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a global leader in providing innovative consulting, IT solutions and services.
In his role at TCS, Padhi has conceptualized and led multiple initiatives aimed at transitioning the vast multinational enterprise from traditional learning modalities to a reimagined “anytime, anywhere” learning strategy. Under his leadership, more than 90 percent of learning at TCS is now tech enabled and fully aligned with the company’s emphasis on cutting-edge innovation.
