HealthChannels is pleased to announce the acquisition of Elite Medical Scribes. The Minnesota-based medical scribe company adds a dynamic workforce to HealthChannels’ subsidiary ScribeAmerica, with a global talent pool of over 15,000 scribes nationwide, in Canada, and Australia.
Elite Medical Scribes has established itself as a trusted partner to clients through offering scribe management services. Additionally, Elite has developed a reputation for their expertise in educating clinicians on how to best integrate medical scribes into their workflow.
“The acquisition of Elite Medical Scribes strengthens our ability to deliver best-in-class services to a broader range of US healthcare providers,” said HealthChannels’ founder and CEO, Dr. Michael Murphy. “Since we currently employ local and regional managers in locations where Elite Medical Scribes operate, we expect the transition will be effective and impactful.”
Since 2015, in addition to Elite Medical Scribes, HealthChannels has acquired California-based Medical Scribe Systems, Essia Health, and Virginia-based eScribe.
HealthChannels has also introduced two new companies, CareThrough and QueueLogix to meet the needs of health systems looking to optimize data, and deliver value-based patient care in a rapidly changing healthcare industry.
HealthChannels is a leading provider of healthcare solutions and services, including medical scribing, care coordination and real-time coding, across a broad range of care settings. These solutions are offered through three distinct channels—ScribeAmerica, the nation’s most frequently used medical scribe company, QueueLogix and CareThrough.
ScribeAmerica was established in 2004 as a clinical documentation solution for providers transitioning to the electronic medical record (EMR). The company’s focus on improving the accuracy and quality of patient documentation has resulted in higher patient satisfaction scores, improved revenue cycle, and better continuity of care. The company recruits, trains, and manages over 15,000 scribes in over 2,000 locations nationwide.
