John Paul II High School Formally Announces Jeff Jackson as New Track & Field Coach
Plano, Texas (PRWEB) October 10, 2017 -- John Paul II High School in Plano, Texas is pleased to announce Jeff Jackson as the Track & Field Coach for the 2017-2018 season.
Coach Jackson was hired as the Track & Field Coach due to his outstanding track record. While he has spent the last fifteen years as a math teacher who also coached track, soccer, cross country and football, Jackson’s experience stems back to his own high school experience.
Jackson's athletic accomplishments started in high school when he won the Texas State championship (1992) in the 110m hurdles, US Jr. National Title in both 110m and 400m hurdles and the Jr. Pan Am title in the 110m hurdle.
Coach Jackson then went on to run for Baylor University where he still holds the record in the 110m hurdle. Baylor University honored Jackson with a school Hall of Fame designation this past year.
John Paul II High School’s athletic Director, Kent Turner, discussed the excitement level of adding Coach Jackson to the family saying, “Obviously, it’s a blessing to add a coach with such a wealth of experience and knowledge. However, it’s even better to add a person who has shown the ability to encourage, inspire and help others.”
