“Memories Of Us”: a story of a love lost that forces a woman into a stage of growth and when faced with possibility of that love returning, is left with a difficult choice between the old love and new peace. “Memories Of Us” is the creation of published author, Chantele Cabrera, who lives in Texas and worked in elementary education and is now working on a new children’s literary project.
“I thought about the separation and pain that came when those lives were no longer compatible, how obsession like contamination entered my waters, a black mud that slowly wore away the girl that existed with depression and disillusionment until I was hopeless, bleak and apathetic like the smooth milky pebbles below me. I thought how both keeps pushing on whether anyone approves of it or not, how even now my life was heading in some direction I didn’t even know about and how my resistance to any of it will only make things harder; it’s probably better to be a flat, prostrate pebble that a recalcitrant rock.” – Chantele Cabrera
Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Chantele Cabrera’s new book reader follow Casey, who was willing to wait for Aaron forever, however, in the time that passed Casey has changed and now Casey must make a choice between Aaron and the peace that grew during their time apart.
While Casey was broken without Aaron the help of two friends allows the young woman to heal. This along with some unexpected events lead Casey to growth that the old relationship never allowed. Now Casey must make a choice between the love of the past and the peace of the present.
