New York, NY (PRWEB) October 19, 2017
Cablefax announced its prestigious TV Hall of Fame, which since 2008 has annually recognized executives, shows and talent whose brilliance has helped usher in this Golden Age of Television.
The Class of 2017 will be honored at Cablefax’s Awards Gala dinner on Nov. 7 at the Taglyan Center in Los Angeles and consists of the following stellar recipients:
Nancy Daniels - President & General Manager, TLC
Connor Schell – EVP, Content, ESPN
Daniel Tibbets – President & General Manager, El Rey
“It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” - FXX
To be sure, this year’s TV Hall of Fame reflects the incredible depth and breadth of content now gracing screens everywhere.
“These honorees represent a wide variety of content across multiple disciplines and genres,” said Cablefax Publisher Michael Grebb. “They have demonstrated an ability to find success no matter what the environment or changing consumer tastes. It’s especially gratifying to induct FX Networks’ ‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia,’ now the longest running live-action comedy series since ‘The Adventures of Ozzie & Harriet’ went off the air in 1966. What an achievement!”
In addition to honoring our 2017 Hall of Fame, Cablefax will also recognize the winners and honorable mentions of the 2017 Program Awards and Trailer Awards, which celebrate the best content and promotional trailers on myriad screens. With thousands of scripted and non-scripted programs available across multiple platforms, Cablefax took on the tough task of judging hundreds of entries to determine the select few shows, series and people deserving of praise and recognition for excellence.

The 2017 winners and honorable mentions come from content networks like Discovery, National Geographic Channels, AMC Networks, FX Networks, HGTV, Food Network and many more. Meanwhile, Cablefax’s inaugural Affiliate Marketing Hot List recognizes the Top Leaders and Next Wave working to ensure that content and distribution works together to serve content consumers across myriad screens and devices.
“What better place to celebrate such business and creative talent than in Hollywood?,” said Grebb. “We’re so excited to be back in L.A. for this year’s celebration, and it’s the first time we’ve made it an evening event. So watch out: There’s no telling what could happen once the revelry begins!”
Festivities on Thursday, November 7, 2017, at the Taglyan Complex in Hollywood (1201 Vine St.; Los Angeles, CA) will begin with cocktails at 5:30pm, followed by our dinner celebration. We’ll also be joined onstage by special guests and CollegeHumor stars Emily Axford and Brian K. Murphy, whose new series “Hot Date” on Pop will premiere on Nov. 8.
