New Book, “Obeying Divine Commands: Toward Understanding the Polygamous Marriage of the Honorable Louis Farrakhan, the Messiah”
NEWARK, Del. (PRWEB) November 08, 2017 -- Today, many people view polygamy as abnormal, not to mention the specific marital unions that comprise it. For example, a polygamous marriage that involves a man having wives notably younger than he may appear socially unacceptable to many people. Some may even call it perverse depending upon the age gap—that is, how much older he is. The man is usually ridiculed by those who perceive him as exploiting women. According to the Scriptures, this was the reality for major prophets such as Abraham, Moses, Lot, David, Solomon, and Prophet Muhammad. To this day, their private lives are criticized.
This book explains the divine covenant between Allah and HIS messengers, and the requirement for them to obey Allah, exclusively. Their entire lives are governed by Allah through divine commands and ordinances.
The premise of this book is Sura 13:38 of the Holy Quran, through which Allah declares that HE governs the marriages of HIS divine messengers—HE states: “And certainly We sent messengers before thee and appointed for them wives and children. And it is not in (the power of) a messenger to bring a sign except by Allah’s permission. For every term there is an appointment.”
The Honorable Louis Farrakhan’s polygamous marriage is facilitated through divine commands that require Him to take specific women in marriage. These marriages, as they are made known, present challenges and, consequently, indelible trials due to the lack of understanding on the part of those who criticize His life. The aim of this Book is to increase our understanding in this regard.
This Book parses Sura 13:38 by considering questions, such as: Why is marriage so important that Allah appoints wives for the Messiah? What is involved in the process of “appointing wives”? Why does Allah command the Messiah to enter polygamy? Why does Allah choose younger women as wives for the Messiah? What challenges do the Messiah and His wives encounter as they attempt to fulfill Allah’s divine commands? Pursuing the answers to these questions give rise to other considerations, which are also discussed in this Book.
