InventHelp, founded in 1984 in Pittsburgh, is attempting to submit this idea, the Doggie Place Mat, to applicable companies for their consideration.

“I love spending time with my dogs, whether on a walk, hike, picnic in the park, etc.," said an inventor, from Swansea, Mass. But carrying the necessary supplies for a day out (wallet, keys, food, water, dog bed, etc.) can be cumbersome. "I want my attention to be on my dog, especially when other dogs and people are around. So I invented the DOGGIE PLACE MAT. This bag will allow you to go on an outing with your dog and easily carry all the items you wish to take along, leaving all your attention for your dog and holding his/her leash instead of fumbling with supplies."

The DOGGIE PLACE MAT provides an easy way to carry pet food, water and other pet supplies when away from home. In doing so, it offers a more effective way to transport a variety of pet items. It also provides the dog with a familiar place on which to lie down no matter where you go. As a result, it ensures that pet supplies are accessible and readily available. The invention features a portable design that is convenient and easy to use so it is ideal for pet owners. Additionally, the DOGGIE PLACE MAT is producible in design variations, and a prototype is available.

The inventor described the invention design. “My design enhances comfort and convenience for pets and pet owners while on-the-go.”

The original design was submitted to the Boston office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
