Concerned about the danger of texting and driving, an inventor from Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., came up with an idea designed to keep drivers from texting. His approach puts warning system in place that keeps the driver’s eyes and attention on the road.
He developed OLBRY SAFETY specifically to promote highway safety. As such, it alerts drivers when their eyes leave the road. Thus, it prevents automobile accidents. Since it reduces motor vehicle-related injuries and deaths, it also decreases the frequency of police involvement. It also lowers the number of insurance claims filed. In addition, it is convenient, effective and affordably priced.
The inventor’s personal safety concerns inspired the idea. “After repeatedly hearing about the growing number of highway injuries and deaths attributed to texting while driving, I wanted to find some way to avert this type of tragedy,” he said.
The original design was submitted to the Ft. Lauderdale office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
