Avid collector, Andrew Hawley, announces his search for original Bob Dylan boxing style concert posters. Dylan toured the country extensively during this time and posters were printed for each show to advertise for the upcoming gig. According to Hawley, “During this period, Dylan was described as his generation’s troubadour. Most of Dylan's tour posters were printed by Murray Posters of New York City. Sometimes the show promoter would use a local printer to produce the concert posters and concert handbills. Most of these posters were 14 x 22 inches and printed on thick cardboard and featured a stock photo of the artist, date of the show and venue and ticket purchase information. The concert posters were hung in local establishments like barber shops, department stores and record stores.” For examples of boxing style Dylan concert posters, go to http://www.vintageconcertposterbuyer.com/boxing_style/bob_dylan.html
