L&D Professionals are Turning to Employee Generated Learning
Rotterdam, The Netherlands (PRWEB) November 02, 2017 -- Online course software vendor Easygenerator has moved up 18 places to 33rd in Jane Hart’s annual ‘Top 200 Tools for e-Learning'. Just as in previous years, leading learning and development professionals were entitled to vote.
Every year Jane Hart, who heads up the Centre for Learning & Performance Technologies, polls leading learning and development professionals on their favorite learning technologies. This year, Easygenerator moved up to 33rd place in the Top 200. Moreover, it is the only authoring tool in the list that is specifically designed for subject-matter experts. Subject-matter experts praised Easygenerator as the most user-friendly authoring tool on the market today, and ranked it as the second-best authoring too out there. Moreover, the platform allows SMEs and e-learning specialists to pool their respective skillsets.
L&D Manager Stephen Naso wrote, “We use Easygenerator to produce attractive, effective learning material. Our eLearning developers like its ease of use, while our subject matter experts like the ability to leave feedback as they review a course. It allows for a very collaborative process.”
"We’re delighted with this significant jump in our ranking”, said Easygenerator’s CEO, Kasper Spiro. “Our cloud-based platform is more user-friendly than ever. It allows anyone to capture and share knowledge and personal experiences without all the cumbersome authoring and learning management systems (LMS) they would have had to come to grips with before. Businesses are adopting employee-generated learning as an important means to ensure knowledge continuity and improved employee performance. Easygenerator enables employees to quickly share knowledge by creating effective courses, product training modules, and interactive work instructions themselves. That obviates the need for an outside team of experts who know all about instructional design but little about the business in question. And after all, who better to create learning in a given subject are than the experts in that area?”
Here are some of the other highlights from this year’s survey:
- Consumerization of learning, tools such as YouTube, Google, PowerPoint, Google Drive, Twitter, Word, LinkedIn, Facebook, WordPress, Wikipedia seep into in the professional space as learning tools.
- Learning management systems are becoming less popular.
- Content-discovery platforms are still the most prevalent category.
