Locally owned private physical therapy practices announce partnership; open new clinic in downtown Lexington

ProRehab Physical Therapy (PRPT) and Orthopedic & Sports Physical Therapy (OSPT) are pleased to announced their partnership, which officially closed on September 1, 2017, and the opening of their newest clinic in downtown Lexington on Monday, October 2. Located at 230 W. Main Street in Suite B, the clinic is OSPT’s second in Lexington.

Though the partnership makes OSPT part of the ProRehab Physical Therapy group, owners Scott Crook, Jim Rothbauer, and Bradley Wheeldon will remain integrally involved, as will their staff members at each location. Their four clinics, located in Louisville, Nicholasville, and Lexington, will continue to operate under the OSPT name.

“Since re-entering the market in 2015, we’ve made it a point to align ourselves with other excellent providers whose mission and vision meet our exceptionally high standards,” said ProRehab co-founder and co-owner Larry Benz. “OSPT definitely fits that bill. Since 2010, they have provided quality specialty physical therapy care from their three locations. This partnership gives us the opportunity to elevate clinical, customer service, and care excellence to unprecedented levels in Louisville, Nicholasville, and Lexington.”

The partnership will emphasize the advantages of local ownership and the benefits it brings to a healthcare environment where mandates from out of state companies have set an unfortunate standard of depersonalized, costly service. PRPT is the largest locally owned private practice in Louisville and, alongside OSPT, will drive superior outcomes and provide cost savings for employers across their combined 15 convenient clinics and employer onsite locations by using the most up-to-date research, cutting edge technology, and special training in compassionate, empathetic, and positive care.

Services offered by the group include manual physical therapy, chronic pain management, orthopaedic physical therapy, sports physical therapy, prosthetic rehab, and industrial medicine.
