InventHelp, founded in 1984 in Pittsburgh, is attempting to submit this idea, the Designer Home Furnishing, to applicable companies for their consideration.

"I wanted to add something special to my children's bedrooms to make them more lively, interesting and engaging," said an inventor from Rochester, N.Y. "Not wanting a plain, old, boring headboard and footboard, I came up with more decorative alternatives."

She developed the DESIGNER HOME FURNISHING to add a decorative touch to the bed. The items create a unique bed set. They enliven the bedroom with their distinctive appearance. The redesigned headboard and footboard include storage space for various items, such as toys, laundry, bedding, etc. They are designed to match the individual’s personality. Furthermore, the headboard and footboard are producible in an array of fashionable designs, and interactive sets are available. It's also compatible with electronic and entertainment devices.

The original design was submitted to the Rochester office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
