Telarix Collaborates With Code.org to Host “Hour of Code” Events to Expand Computer Sciences Learning Throughout K-12 System
Vienna, VA (PRWEB) November 01, 2017 -- Telarix Inc. (Telarix), the leading provider of wholesale and partner solutions for service providers, today announced that it will host and participate in quarterly events over the next 3 years on behalf of Code.org’s effort to expand computer science learning to K-12 students, especially targeting students in underserved communities who may not have access to those critical skills.
The Hour of Code is an instructional computer sciences program created by Code.org. The Hour of Code events provide a one-hour introduction to demystify computer code, helping to inspire K-12 students in underserved communities to consider a future in Computer Science. Collaborating with leading technology companies such as Telarix, the events provide real-time classroom instruction on a wide range of computer science and software topics for K-12 level education. According to Code.org, over the next 10 years there will be 1.4 million jobs in computer science and a shortage of 400,000 qualified candidates.
“We are honored to participate in the Code.org program, which is making an extraordinary impact in bringing computer science learning into K-12 classrooms,” said Marco Limena, Telarix CEO. “It is inspiring to be part of a leadership group that is committed to unlocking doors for young people of all backgrounds and helping them to develop skills in coding and computer science, which are fundamental for success in the digital workplace.”
