Industry Experts to Discuss Improving School Transportation Operations

Our businesses all have trusted advisors who help show school officials how they can use data that is available today to optimize their transportation system’s efficiencies, all while lowering costs.

The TransPar Group of Companies, a partnership of three leading organizations from across the school transportation industry that offer a diverse portfolio of products and services, announced that representatives will be attending the National Association for Pupil Transportation (NAPT) 43rd Annual Conference and Trade Show, from November 4-7 at the Hyatt Regency Columbus Hotel in Columbus, Ohio. The NAPT industry event is recognized as the premier school transportation conference in the nation. This year's enhanced program design will inspire student transportation professionals at all levels to think differently and tackle common challenges in thoughtful, innovative ways.

“The NAPT conference is a great one that allows us to meet with many school officials who are trying to get a better grasp on their transportation systems,” stated Tim Ammon, Chief Business Development Officer of TransPar Group of Companies. “We’ll discuss how to make improvements pertaining to safety and training, the retention and recruitment of drivers, managing student behavior, learning more about how parents want to be communicated to and what new technologies help in this realm, purchasing replacement vehicles, and other prevalent concerns. We have found that districts are seeking clarity on how to improve their service and increase cost savings. Our solutions address these concerns.”

Ammon recently presented to school officials at the ASBO conference where he discussed 'The Path to Purchasing School Buses in Times of Austerity', which was also the topic of a recent webinar he hosted. The subject matter focused on the key requirements for developing a successful school bus replacement program, how focusing on total cost of ownership can build support for a structured and sustainable plan, and how different financing options can leverage existing funding.

“Our businesses all have trusted advisors who help show school officials how they can use data that is available today to optimize their transportation system’s efficiencies, all while lowering costs,” added Ammon. “Our team addresses many of the crucial business issues facing districts today. Our services can complement what districts are currently doing so they don’t lose sight of providing a quality education to the students in their community. As part of our efforts to help districts understand and navigate these issues, and take steps to address them, we have published numerous case studies and white papers that shed light on common pain points such as increasing value and reducing costs of service, fleet management and replacement planning, and using transportation analytics to understand performance, to name a few. School officials have found these to be a good primer before working with us to take a deep dive into their situations.”

Representatives from the TransPar Group of Companies will be available to discuss school transportation improvements and answer questions at NAPT Booth #1407.
