Eskaton’s Quality & Compliance Team Completes NRPC Certification Program
Sacramento, CA (PRWEB) November 02, 2017 -- Eskaton, a non-profit, community-based organization serving seniors in the Greater Sacramento area for nearly 50 years, recently wrapped up a certification program with the National Readmission Prevention Collaborative (NRPC). With the completion of the program, Eskaton’s Quality & Compliance team merits the Certified Readmission Prevention Fellow (CRPF), a rare distinction for senior facilities.
“We are proud to become certified and believe it is an honor to bring this expertise to our local community,” said Teri Tift, Eskaton’s Executive Director of Quality & Compliance. “Making sure individuals remain healthy and are safe is a priority for Eskaton, and this program positions us to be that resource.”
In fact, Eskaton is one of the first healthcare organizations in the state of California to receive the prestigious CRPF certification, which is held in high esteem by leading acute care hospitals who are now being penalized financially if patients are admitted unnecessarily to the hospital. Eskaton’s Quality & Compliance team who has met the certification requirements includes Teri Tift, Michelle Johnson, Cheryl Kenner, and Jennifer Marlette.
The certification is available to any individual or team who works in healthcare, residential care or wellness. The NRPC has a special program for healthcare students as well. More information on the certification and CRPF can be found at http://www.NationalReadmissionPrevention.com.
