ROCHESTER, N.Y. (PRWEB) November 07, 2017 -- Fifteen years ago, Legaci Cycling set forth on a mission to promote and advance the sport of cycling. Since then, company founder and elite athlete Todd Scheske has fostered growth through avenues including Talent ID camps for junior riders and through his involvement with younger children through bike rodeo programs.
Two years ago, a conversation between Todd and fellow cyclist Ivan Altinbasak set Todd on a trajectory that would ultimately result in the creation of Legaci Bikes. With the intention to both educate consumers and expand the use of balance bikes in the US, Mr. Altinbasak established The WeeBikeShop in 2007 and has since secured a strong foothold in the industry. Through their discussions and mutual love of the sport, the natural consequence was a desire to provide the youngest riders with the highest quality balance bikes available- and Legaci Bikes was formed.
With regard to the appeal of balance bikes, Mr. Scheske explains, “Kids with training wheels are learning the opposite skills and they’re not actually learning how to ride a bike; to balance and get the skills they need to start pedaling.” Adding, “These balance bikes are really cost effective, a kid can start at eighteen months and they’re riding balance bikes at three, four, and five years old because they learn to have fun on them.” Legaci Bikes has partnered with the Wee Bike Shop to offer brands such as Yedoo, Ridgeback, and Muna while also offering Prevelo, KaZAM, and Strider.
Legaci Bikes…. A tradition of cycling excellence- now offering children as young as eighteen months the ability to learn skills and gain confidence while riding a bike made with their needs in mind.
