“Aeroflow understands firsthand the importance of giving families the time, resources and support needed to bond with new children - whether adopted or biological,” Casey Hite, CEO.

Aeroflow Healthcare, a leading provider of durable medical equipment and one of Inc. Magazine’s 5000 Fastest Growing Companies, announced today that it has expanded its parental leave policy to further reflect its corporate values of putting family first. Over the last quarter, Aeroflow’s executive team has worked diligently to expand its paid leave offerings and to enhance support of employees as they welcome new children into their home and local community.
“As a leader in the healthcare industry and DME space, and through our work with hundreds of thousands of new and expecting moms, Aeroflow understands firsthand the importance of giving families the time, resources and support needed to bond with new children - whether adopted or biological,” said Casey Hite, founder and CEO of Aeroflow Healthcare. “We believe it is our responsibility to set a strong example for other businesses in North Carolina and throughout the country, and this announcement represents just the first step in the company's efforts to expand maternity and parental paid leave and better support employees and their families.”
Aeroflow Healthcare’s new maternity and parental leave policy not only extends the maternity leave to six weeks of paid time off, but also offers especially unique benefits such as covering the costs of a postpartum doula, a full-year of free diapers and a personal breast pump with accessories. The policy expansion announcement aims to offer stronger support at home, and improve the company’s dedication to both the physical and emotional health of its employees and their families.
Aeroflow Breastpumps, a subsidiary of Aeroflow Healthcare, has lived by its mission statement since inception - increase the rate of breastfeeding nationally. The company believes in leading by example and demonstrating this focus by implementing an employee-friendly system for its own breastfeeding mothers, including better parental leave policies and access to support and resources during the transition back to working full-time. As a part of this effort, Aeroflow Breastpumps recently remodeled its private lactation and breastfeeding room to offer moms access to a hospital grade breast pump, refrigerator for breast milk storage, and a sterile, comfortable and homey space for moms to pump peacefully.
Studies also show that mothers who are given more time to bond with their child and implement a successful breastfeeding schedule before going back to work full-time are more likely to continue to breastfeed their newborns longer-term. The proven benefits of breastfeeding include but are not limited to a lower risk of ear infections, SIDS, diabetes, certain types of cancer, and allergies, among others. The breastfeeding mother sees a lower risk of breast cancer, ovarian cancer, cervical cancer, and diabetes.
