“If we don’t sense confidence and understanding of our business when we talk to you, it will be a short interview,” says co-founder and entrepreneur Lil Roberts.

On CNBC’s new show The Job Interview there were awkward pauses, tears and challenging situations when Xendoo co-founders Lil Roberts and Steven Gelley, CPA asked the tough questions on the November 8th premier of the ten-episode series.

The series goes inside one of life’s most pressure-filled experiences ─ where the words you say, the clothes you wear, and even the expression on your face can mean the difference between success and failure.

The Job Interview features real employers, real interviews with real candidates, only one of whom will land an offer. In Xendoo’s case it was Natalia Solorzano who won the coveted role of Senior Bookkeeper at Xendoo, a late stage FinTech startup that offers cloud-based accounting and bookkeeping services as a critical finance resource for small business owners.

“We welcomed this exciting opportunity to educate small businesses and job seekers on how to be their best selves in an interview. Xendoo looks for A players and we found the right addition to our team in Natalia,” said entrepreneur and Xendoo co-founder Roberts.

Roberts is a member of Entrepreneurs Organization and frequently speaks publicly on topics like start-ups, entrepreneurship and business efficiency as well as customer acquisition and retention. Now she is adding “Interview 101” to her repertoire.

“If we don’t sense confidence and understanding of our business when we talk to you, it will be a short interview,” adds Roberts.

Explains Gelley, an entrepreneur and co-founder of Xendoo, “Our goal when we launched the company was to focus on the accounting and bookkeeping needs of small to mid-size businesses that have historically been underserved by the traditional CPA. Helping business owners understand and improve their financial health is our mission.”
