“Equality Health is making a true difference in the lives of some of our community’s most vulnerable, and too often overlooked populations," said Stevens Anderson.
PHOENIX, Ariz. (PRWEB) November 07, 2017
Equality Health, an Arizona-based organization pioneering integrated health care delivery to underserved and ethnically diverse populations, has added industry expert Lisa Stevens Anderson to its executive team as Chief Operating Officer of Q Point Health. Stevens Anderson will leverage her previous experience leading Banner Health’s successful ACO in her role overseeing Equality Health’s growing roster of value-based contracts.
“Equality Health is taking a comprehensive look at what factors impact a person’s health, and we’re building an integrated delivery system to directly manage members through risk-based contracting,” said Mark Hillard, President of Q Point Health. “Lisa has had proven success in the value-based space and adds her talents to the exceptional team we have built. We are happy that she has chosen to join the Equality Health team as we work to create better outcomes for our members.”
Stevens Anderson has been in the health care industry for more than 25 years and has firsthand experience creating innovative solutions in value-based care. As the Vice President and Chief Executive Officer of Banner Health Network (BHN), she helped build Arizona’s largest Accountable Care Organization with more than 5,000 providers and 480,000 members. In 2015, the fourth year of BHN’s Pioneer ACO Program, Banner delivered the top financial performance in the country, in addition to achieving 95th percentile in quality. Her previous experience also includes serving as the Vice President of Provider Services for TriWest HealthCare Alliance where Stevens Anderson built and maintained operations for a network of 190,000 providers across 21 states.
Q Point is a management services organization and a subsidiary of Equality Health. The company acts as a resource for both providers and health plans, with the ultimate goal of improving health outcomes while reducing the cost of care. As COO, Stevens Anderson will be responsible for ensuring Equality Health is meeting the needs of its payer partners and managing operations that support the more than 800 providers in the Equality Health Network.
“After 25 years in the health care industry, it’s invigorating to join a team that is so laser focused on its mission to change the very standard of health care,” said Stevens Anderson. “Equality Health is making a true difference in the lives of some of our community’s most vulnerable, and too often overlooked populations.”
Beyond the physical, mental health issues and culture and social determinants play a huge role in a person’s overall health outcomes and quality of life. Equality Health is developing a model of care that addresses each of these factors to create better outcomes, increase patient adherence and lower the cost of care for underserved minorities.
