“I’m Going to be a Big Brother”: the story of a young boy who becomes a big brother and learns to cope with the changes in his life. “I’m Going to be a Big Brother” is the creation of published author, Kolor. Kolor was born in Chicago, Illinois to Cynthia Fisher and McKinley Anthony Turner on July 3, 1972. The author has eight children and six grandchildren. Kolor has a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Governors State University and an associate’s degree in General Studies from Olive Harvey College. Having been inspired by their creativity, Kolor is a big fan of Pete Doctor, writer of “Inside Out,” Tim Johnson, writer of “Home,” and J.K. Rowling, author of the “Harry Potter” series.

This is the story of five-year-old Nathaniel. Nate is going to be someone’s big brother very soon. His parents tell him that he will soon have a big job to do when his new brother, or sister, gets here.
When his mom finally goes into labor, Nate witnesses his parents’ ordeal. After experiencing a variety different of emotions, he learns how to deal with the changes in his life as well as his newfound responsibilities as a big brother.
