The FireHouse is just one of the quaint features in Old Town Niwot. People, myself included, get wrapped up in the next task at hand and walk right by the museum. With the changes we envision, it will be more visible and inviting
Boulder, CO (PRWEB) November 08, 2017
On Friday, November 3, the Niwot Historical Society hosted its First Friday Art Walk in Old Town Niwot. Donations collected at the event will benefit the FireHouse Museum, one of Niwot’s most treasured historical gems. The goal of the Niwot Historical Society is to raise $18,000 to improve the museum setting.
“The FireHouse is just one of the quaint features in Old Town Niwot. People, myself included, get wrapped up in the next task at hand and walk right by the museum. With the changes we envision, it will be more visible and inviting,” said Karlynn Spreder, member of the Niwot Historical Society and founder of the Spreder Team at Colorado Landmark, Realtors, who is helping raise funds for the museum.
The museum features volunteer storytellers, displays for all ages, coloring pages for people to take with them, a donation jar and more. All donations over $500 will be recognized with plaques. Donors will also be given a membership to the Niwot Historical Society.
The Spreder Team will also be collecting donations at Enchanted Evening on November 24. Every year on the day after Thanksgiving, the community of Niwot officially ushers in the holiday season with Enchanted Evening in Cottonwood Square and Old Town Niwot, where they will light the community tree and welcome Santa to town. More information about Enchanted Evening can be found at http://www.Niwot.com.
