ScyllaDB Announces Integration with World’s First 10nm Qualcomm Centriq 2400 Server Processor
PALO ALTO, California (PRWEB) November 08, 2017 -- ScyllaDB, the next generation of NoSQL, today announced that it has integrated its open source database with the Qualcomm Centriq™ 2400 processor, Qualcomm Datacenter Technologies’ new Arm-based server processor chip. Initial internal benchmarks show impressive performance and horizontal scalability when running Scylla on Qualcomm Centriq 2400, demonstrating the opportunity for organizations to significantly boost application performance while reducing total cost of ownership.
Scylla is an open source drop-in Apache Cassandra replacement that is powered by C++. Utilizing the best from Cassandra in high availability, fault tolerance and a rich ecosystem, Scylla offers developers a higher performing and more resource-effective Cassandra alternative to power demanding applications without compromising availability.

ScyllaDB recently completed a benchmark study of its database running on three Qualcomm Centriq 2400-based servers, with a varying number of cores on each machine. The study shows that performance exceeded 1,000,000 IOPS, and scaled linearly as the number of cores per machine was increased from 10 to 40.
