NOV. 14: New England College of Business to Host Webinar on Protecting Against Financial Abuse
BOSTON (PRWEB) November 13, 2017 -- New England College of Business (NECB) announced today that it will host a free webinar entitled, “Protecting the Elderly: Recognizing Financial Abuse.” The webinar will take place on Nov. 14, 2017 from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. EST.
The elderly community in America is increasingly becoming victims of financial abuse. As fraudsters employ new tactics to take advantage of the wealth that retiring baby boomers and the growing number of older Americans hold, it has become ever more important for the elderly and their caregivers to protect against these financial attacks.
Hosted by Marla Snyder, Senior Vice President, Compliance & Operations at The Savings Bank (TSB), the upcoming session will suggest action items for seniors and caregivers that can protect their financial information from being compromised. The webinar will also address steps that financial institutions and advisors can take to help prevent elder financial abuse.
With more than 35 years of experience, Snyder is an expert in the financial services industry. In addition to her role as senior vice president. she serves as TSB’s CRA Officer and leads TSB’s compliance training program. Additionally, Snyder served on Governor Patrick’s Commission for Preventing Elder Abuse as a financial expert and served on the Commission’s preventing financial abuse sub-committee.
“We are excited to invite Maria Snyder to share her expertise on financial services and protection,” said Howard Horton, Esq., NECB President. “Her knowledge will provide participants in this webinar with much-needed insight on how to prevent themselves and their loved ones from becoming victims of financial fraud.”
