ATLANTA (PRWEB) November 27, 2017 -- Cooling textile innovator brrr° has hired seasoned sales and project management executive Julie Brown to lead its global sales functions and create new industry-focused sales teams to deepen relationships with customers.
Brown, who has consulted with brrr° on several projects in recent years, will work with brrr° Chief Executive Officer Mary-Cathryn Kolb to reorganize the company’s global sales team around industry-specific verticals such as business and casual office wear, athletic apparel, uniforms and medical clothing, bedding and home interiors, automotive and other manufacturers.
Realigning the salesforce will help brrr° gain a richer understanding of the specific needs and wants of customers in that vertical, and tighten the focus of future research and development work on cooling performance textiles that are unique to those industries.
“I’m excited to join the brrr° team and build upon the great foundation already in place to make our sales team even more laser-focused and responsive to the needs of our customers,” Brown said.
Brown was previously a project manager for complex cross-function initiatives at payment processing firm First Performance and before that she was the Founder and CEO of an eco-friendly line of women’s shoes called Julie Bee’s. She was also Director of Operations for the Hult Prize Foundation, which supports innovative efforts to solve major global problems such as lack of clean water.
Earlier in her career, Brown was a senior consultant for Booz Allen Hamilton, and she worked at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. She previously formulated vendor refunds for the Federal Election Committee when she worked for the John McCain Campaign.
Brown holds a Master’s in Business Administration from Hult International Business School, where she completed a global rotation in Shanghai, and she earned a Bachelor’s in International Studies from Northern Kentucky University.
“We are so pleased that Julie is joining brrr°,” said Kolb. “She thinks like a sales executive, an entrepreneur, an operator and a project manager with a keen eye for detail. That powerful combination will help us spot trends and respond to customers in real-time as their needs evolve.”
