APSP Announces New Online Training and Certification Courses
ALEXANDRIA, Va. (PRWEB) November 20, 2017 -- The Association of Pool & Spa Professionals (APSP) announced today the availability of its CMS Certified Maintenance Specialist Course in a new self-paced online format.
Designed to meet the needs of today’s industry students, the new self-paced online format features videos, interactive exercises and knowledge quizzes. Within the next year, APSP will release their PSCC Pool & Spa Construction Course, CST Certified Service Technician Course, Retail Professional and CHTT Certified Hot Tub Technician Course in the updated format.
Those that take the course will have the option to purchase the full course or a specific module such as water quality, structures, pool math or safety. The APSP self-paced certification course is interactive and engaging and provides a positive training experience while teaching new skills. The CMS program gives industry students a strong foundation in understanding: safety, pool circulation and filtration, pool maintenance, water quality, electrical systems, pool structures and finishes, heaters and controls and customer service.
“We are proud to support students as they develop career paths within the industry,” said Rich Gottwald, president and CEO of APSP. “Our online training and certification is state-of-the-art and second to none. It not only enhances the student’s professional opportunities, but it allows companies to train employees quickly and efficiently.”
There are no prerequisites for the CMS course. Students can earn their CMS certification by taking a virtual, online self-paced or face-to-face on-site course at a regional event followed by the CMS exam. Those that successfully complete the course can take the exam either at a local PSI testing center, through a scheduled proctored exam or on-site at a regional event.
“There has been a huge demand for engaging state-of-the art online APSP University education,” said Maria O’Hara, director of APSP education. "Our goal is to continue to provide quality education to stay on the forefront of what the industry needs and students demand.”
