Storybooth Raises Awareness for Homeless Youth with New Animated Video for Covenant House
NEW YORK (PRWEB) November 15, 2017 -- Today storybooth, a digital platform for kids and teens, released a video from a Covenant House teen to support and bring awareness to youth homelessness. For more than 45 years, Covenant House has sheltered and cared for homeless youth across the country. And on November 16, people will gather across the country to sleep outside for Covenant House Sleep Out America, an event that takes place every year to support those who don’t have a choice.
“We knew this story would bring much-needed awareness to the issue of homelessness in the youth population, and with over 650 thousand subscribers and 200 million video views on YouTube, storybooth is the platform to get it out to this audience across the country,” said storybooth founder, Marcy Sinel. “Storybooth receives stories from thousands of kids all over the world, and animating this story times well with Covenant House’s National Sleep Out.”
Mercer, a leading global consulting firm and a long tome supporter of Covenant House, connected them with Storybooth, making this video possible. The animation shows one teen’s (Tony) touching journey through different housing arrangements to ultimately find Covenant House as a saving grace and home.
