Animal-Proof Trash Can Lid Invented (CCP-1317)

Pittsburgh-based InventHelp, a leading inventor service company, is submitting this client’s idea, Doggie Trash Can, in the hopes of a good faith review.

Dogs undeniably have a keen sense of smell and insatiable appetite. These qualities contribute to a dog's tendency to scour for food wherever it appears to be available, which unfortunately includes the garbage can.

An inventor from Chicago, Ill., has invented DOGGIE TRASH CAN, a tool to ensure that animals cannot knock over a trash can and scatter the contents. "I invented this device as a result of my dog continually knocking over my trash can," said the inventor. "I have tried to stop my dog in a number of ways and this invention will be my best solution."

DOGGIE TRASH CAN provides an efficient and safe method of locking a trash can lid in place, preventing dogs, raccoons and other critters from climbing on a trash can and removing the contents.

This invention minimizes the chance of the owner from coming out in the morning to find trash scattered all over the lawn. Although it effectively keeps animals out of the trash can, it is easy to use by humans, allowing the homeowner or trash collector to access the contents within seconds.

The original design was submitted to the Chicago office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
