ForRent.com® Pop Culture Campaign, In-House Search Team Take Top Honors at U.S. Search Awards
Norfolk, VA (PRWEB) November 16, 2017 -- ForRent.com® has received a second round of industry accolades for its creativity in online search this year, via the U.S. Search Awards in Las Vegas. At the awards presentation, ForRent.com received top honors for “Best In-House Team” and, alongside its partner Foundation Digital, “Best Use of Content Marketing” for the company’s pop culture campaign aimed at young adult renters.
The awards, given November 8 at a gala event at the Treasure Island resort, follow ForRent.com’s recognition at The Drum ® Search Awards USA 2017 in September, where it shared “Best Use of Content” honors with Foundation Digital. ForRent.com also was given a “Highly Commended” award for its in-house team at that show.
The U.S. Search Awards, in association with headline sponsor Bing, celebrates the very best in SEO, PPC, digital and content marketing in the United States. The awards attract hundreds of entries from many of the leading search and digital agencies from across North America.
ForRent.com’s “Best In-House Team” award recognized the extraordinary effort of its in-house search team in 2017. Among other achievements, the team raised the company’s comScore ranking two spots from 2016 and prompted significant traffic growth for the firm’s three targeted sites, After55.com, ForRentUniversity.com, and CorporateHousing.com. According to the U.S. Search Awards, “Best In-House Team” recognizes the team that demonstrated “consistently great understanding and use of search and/or PPC.”
“Over the past year, ForRent.com has completed the migration from being a magazine-based company to one that’s purely online—and our search team has been at the forefront of that move,” said Simon Heseltine, ForRent.com Vice President of Search. “These awards affirm the work that the search team has completed, and the faith that the organization has placed in this team.”
“Best Use of Content Marketing” was awarded to ForRent.com and Foundation Digital for the company’s innovative 2016-17 campaign that included plans and listings for apartments of fictional characters from Netflix, TV shows, and movies, including superheroes from the Marvel cinematic universe. The campaign, which included guides to apartment and city living, grew from its origins as a blog into a multi-faceted effort including an online publication, and resulted in numerous inbound links and citations from major media outlets. It produced significant overall SEO growth on the geo level, and substantially increased traffic by its target of young renters in city dwellings.
“This multi-award- winning campaign was born out of the collective minds of our in-house team, and our agency partner. We knew we had to create something special to appeal to the right audience, and the recognition of this award shows that we did exactly that, and did it well,” added Heseltine.
“Our judges were most impressed by the ForRent.com pop culture campaign. The effort was distinguished by its integrated SEO goals and target personas, along with very creative, data-driven content and strong coverage,” stated Scot Furness, event manager for the U.S. Search Awards. “The judges also commented that ForRent.com has an excellent in-house team that has achieved great results in a competitive market.”
